He used to be called Doktor Strange

For over 25 years he was "Doktor Strange", a name inspired by the comic book character, but once the movie made that character globally known it became time for a transition and he evolved into: "The Maestro"

10 years as an educational presenter

From his very first class presentation he did, "Global Perspectives he has loved teaching through the edutainment presentations that Classroom Expeditions had to offer. He did programs for grades 3-7. His most porpluar program was "The Government Initiative" for grade 5s that was a hands on interactive experience both the teachers and the students loved. Unfortunately the company went into hiatus during the pandemic.

The Young Actor's Project

Since 2022 he has had the joy of teaching Acting Workshops for K-7 students. Like he used to with Classroom Expeditions, he visits schools all throughout the Lower Mainland of Vancouver BC.

Beyond the spotlight, The Maestro is also the creator of "The M.A.G.I.C. Principle", a documentary and philosophy that highlights the power of mindset in achieving success. He believes that Mental Attitude Generates Incredible Capabilities—a principle he lives by and inspires others to embrace.

Testimonials

The Maestro masterfully managed the main stage on our behalf as emcee for “Canada’s biggest little birthday party”, the 72nd Annual Steveston Salmon Festival, on July 1st, 2017. This was a special year as the nation celebrated the 150th anniversary of Confederation and we needed a special person to orchestrate our signature stage and Mr. Kaplan brilliantly fit the role. Stephen is a charming professional, and his charismatic presence kept the audiences well informed and entertained throughout the day whether it be how he introduced the bands, made announcements, or offering his own brand of clever magic and delicious sense of humour in between. This was his first time working with us, and it certainly won’t be his last.
